Full Time with Benefits

$22.15 Hourly

Washington County is seeking a Librarian to join the County Library System and help provide welcoming,
knowledgeable, and engaging library services to our community.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, connecting patrons with
information and resources, supporting library programs, and staying current with technology and library
services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Librarian, you will help patrons of all ages discover information, resources, programs, and
materials that meet their needs.
• Provide reference assistance to patrons of all ages and interests in a friendly, non-biased, and
non-judgmental manner.
• Answer general and detailed reference questions and assist patrons in locating library materials
and resources.
• Provide readers' advisory services based on patron interests and needs.
• Teach patrons how to use computers, online databases, the Internet, and other library
resources.
• Promote library programs, services, and materials through displays, bulletin boards, and other
outreach and marketing efforts.
• Provide general training to library patrons, community groups, and organizations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree; AND
• Two (2) years of experience performing the above or related duties;

OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
