This role is responsible for running the team's graphics machine and supporting the flow of game presentation in real time. The ideal candidate is comfortable working under pressure, can react quickly to live game situations, and understands the importance of timing, accuracy, and communication during a fast-paced sports production.

  • Run in-game graphics, prompts, sponsor elements, fan engagement content, player features, and video board assets
  • Operate and manage software and control tools such as ProPresenter, Stream Deck, BitFocus Companion, Uno Overlays, and similar production systems
  • Trigger graphics, overlays, animations, lower thirds, prompts, and other content accurately and on time
  • Adapt quickly to live game situations, including goals, penalties, power plays, intermission activities, sponsor reads, crowd prompts, and last-minute changes
  • Communicate with the director, game presentation staff, PA announcer, camera operators, replay, DJ, and production crew during games
  • Assist with the DJ setup when needed, including Spotify, djay, sound effects, playlists, walk-up music, crowd prompts, and in-game music cues
  • Activate and manage projector content through Luxedo systems in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure sponsor graphics, promotional elements, theme-night content, and game-day assets are played according to the script
  • Help prepare, test, organize, and load graphics, audio, playlists, sponsor content, and projector files before games
  • Troubleshoot basic software, computer, connection, and playback issues during setup and live production
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workflow for game-day graphics and audio assets
  • Support the game presentation team with other production needs as assigned

Required Skills
  • Ability to operate or quickly learn ProPresenter
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Stream Deck and BitFocus Companion
  • Familiarity with graphics or overlay systems such as Uno Overlays or similar platforms
  • Comfortable working with playlists, music playback, and sound effect systems
  • Ability to follow a live game script while also adapting to changes in real time
  • Strong timing, focus, and attention to detail
  • Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions during live production
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take direction over headset or from production staff
  • Basic computer troubleshooting skills
  • Availability for Knoxville Ice Bears home games is required
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible game-day hours as needed

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using ProPresenter in a live production environment
  • Experience programming or operating Stream Deck and BitFocus Companion
  • Experience with Luxedo or projector mapping systems
  • Basic knowledge of hockey game flow, including goals, penalties, power plays, intermissions, stoppages, and timeouts
  • Experience running music, sound effects, or DJ software during live events
  • Familiarity with Spotify, djay, soundboard software, audio interfaces, and live event audio cues
  • Strong understanding of timing, crowd energy, and in-arena entertainment
  • Ability to troubleshoot under pressure without disrupting the show
  • Comfortable working in a control room or production booth environment

Game-Day Responsibilities May Include
  • Starting pregame graphics and countdown elements
  • Triggering player headshots, starting lineups, sponsor graphics, crowd prompts, and animations
  • Activating goal, power play, penalty kill, intermission, and final score graphics
  • Running theme-night visuals, promotional graphics, and sponsored content
  • Triggering sound effects, music stings, walk-in music, or crowd hype audio when assigned
  • Managing or assisting with Luxedo projector activations at the correct moments
  • Following the game script while adjusting to live changes from the director or game presentation staff
  • Ensuring all graphics and audio cues are accurate, timely, and professional

Qualifications

  • Must be adaptable and able to make quick changes on the fly
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and prepared before doors open
  • Must be comfortable receiving direction during live production
  • Must be available for Knoxville Ice Bears home games, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
