Job Summary:
Join our culinary team at Jay Bob's Country Kitchen, where we pride ourselves on serving top-quality, homestyle country cuisine. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Line Cook to help prepare meals and ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests. As a vital member of our kitchen staff, you'll work in a fast-paced environment to prepare dishes that are both delicious and comforting, adhering to our established recipes and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards set by the kitchen manager and chef.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Chop vegetables, butcher meats, and prepare sauces.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, with high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking necessary kitchen supplies.
  • Work collaboratively with front of house staff to ensure that customer service standards are upheld.

Requirements:
  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Familiarity with industry’s best practices.
