YOUR DAY AS A UTILITY LOCATOR

In this entry-level position, you'll be traveling to various outdoor properties (fields, neighborhoods, parking lots, etc.) and using special equipment to detect and mark underground utility lines. You'll walk around the space and use EM locators and other tools to identify the locations of pipes and cables. Once you've done this, you'll accurately mark spots to help the excavation team avoid the underground lines. Attention to detail and accuracy are vital as you complete job reports, follow safety and color codes, and help other workers stay safe on the job!


REQUIREMENTS

We'll train you in everything you need to know for this entry-level position! You just need to have the right attitude, a solid work ethic, and the following qualifications:

  • 18+ years old
  • Eagerness to learn more and readiness to get to work
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Reliable work performance
