Job description

Mercy Regional Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Urologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This is a high-demand role with multiple stints available and an anticipated ongoing need of 3 weeks per month. Candidates must be available for any of the stints listed below to be considered for ongoing scheduling.

Assignment Details

  • Dates of Coverage (all shifts end following day at 7a):
    • Sept
    • Oct 30 (5p) Nov 6
    • Nov
    • Dec 1 4
    • Dec
    • Jan 2 8
    • Ongoing dates beginning Nov 3, 2025, as schedules are released
  • Anticipated Need: 3 weeks per month ongoing- willing to work with multiple physicians to cover their need.
  • Schedule:
    • Monday Friday: 7a 5p + 5p 7a (night call)
    • Saturday Sunday: 24-hour call (7a 7a)
  • Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient, ER, Clinic, Call Trauma Level III
  • Duties: Clinic visits, general urology surgeries, OR time for procedures
  • Support Staff: MA, NP/PA, RN
  • EMR: Epic

Credentialing

  • Credentialing Timeframe: days
  • Emergency Temp Privileges: 45 days with clean file
  • Credentialing at multiple sites? No

Patient Volumes

  • Average Clinic Patients/Day: 6 12

Submission Requirements

  • Board Certified in Urology Required (will NOT accept BE)
  • Active CO License or IMLC LOQ in hand We will help with CO licensure!
  • Active BLS Required- We can help with this!
  • Active DEA Required (must be maintained for duration of assignment; transfer acceptable)
  • Availability: Must confirm which stints through Dec 2025 candidate can cover, and ongoing monthly availability Required
  • Malpractice: Clean preferred; will accept 1 case up to $300K (priority given to candidates who provide NPDB self-inquiry with submission)
  • Background: Clean Required
