ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we’re looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don’t shy away from humanity’s challenges but are determined to help solve them.

AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward.

THE ROLE:

AMD’s Strategic Silicon Solutions group is responsible for custom silicon for advanced gaming platforms such as XBOX, PlayStation, and Steam Deck. As a Post-Silicon Power and Performance Validation Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring our custom silicon products meet power and performance targets and are optimized for customer use cases. You will interact with architecture, firmware, driver, and other teams to develop test plans for new product features, execute studies in a lab environment, and analyze data to validate that the product meets specifications.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will have experience in power or performance attainment of features of CPU, GPU, or APUs. This person should thrive in a matrixed environment spanning multiple countries and time zones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop test plans in collaboration with architects, firmware, and IP-specific engineering teams to ensure products meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Work with architects and the business team to support current and potential future products.
  • Execute power and performance studies to support business development.
  • Validate and tune product features post-silicon.
  • Set up and debug systems under test.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience validating power or performance features of CPUs, GPUs, or APUs.
  • Familiarity with graphics, core, and gaming-focused workloads.
  • Familiarity with the use of data acquisition and thermal equipment.
  • Experience analyzing and presenting data using Power BI, Sigma, or similar.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multi-site technical organization.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
