Fish Cutter - Distribution Center (Palmetto Location)
Start Time: 3:00 AM | Cold Environment: Below 40°F
Detwiler's is hiring a skilled and reliable Fish Cutter to join our team at our brand-new Distribution Center in Palmetto. This early-morning role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and takes pride in delivering top-quality seafood to our customers.
?? Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, fillet, and clean whole fish including Yellowfin Tuna, Swordfish, Snapper, Grouper, Halibut, and more
  • Maintain accurate inventory and ensure proper product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste
  • Identify high-quality seafood by appearance, texture, and smell
  • Operate equipment such as large knives, wrapping machines, scales, compactors, and garbage disposals
  • Uphold Detwiler's high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food handling at all times
?? Work Environment
  • Located in our refrigerated Distribution Center (temperatures below 40°F)
  • Shift begins at 3:00 AM, requiring punctuality and reliability
  • Team-oriented setting with a strong focus on quality and efficiency
