Position Overview:

The Assistant Prepared Foods Manager BOH is responsible for the operations of the Cafe, from product quality and consistency, purchasing of ingredients and supplies and managing inventory and safe storage/rotation of products. Together with the Deli/Prepared Foods Manager, they create a cohesive BOH Leadership team that supports the HL Mission. 


In this hands-on role, you'll work alongside your team to create fresh, high-quality food, keep the kitchen running smoothly, and deliver an exceptional experience every day. From inventory and production to coaching your team, you'll help set the standard while supporting Healthy Living's mission. 


Location: 3065 Route 50, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

Job Type: Assistant Department Manager

Hours: Full-time, requires weekend & holiday availability 

Pay: $23.00-$25.31/hour (previous experience will be taken into consideration)

Requirements

Experience

  • At  least 2 years management experience in a food service environment  
  • Previous culinary experience  
  • Previous guest service environment experience   
  • Knowledge of food procurement and inventory management   
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment or equivalent   
  • Previous experience working with local, organic products and familiarity with standards regarding local, organic produces is preferred
