SHOWA Group is composed of 6,000 amazingly skilled employees who widely support our 58 patents, 50 production lines, 8 manufacturing facilities, 5 distribution centers, and all of the many processes entailed in proudly providing our customers with over 2 billion gloves annually. We are currently looking to fill a Territory Manager position (listed as Traveling Sales Representative). Our ideal candidate will be an industrial safety expert currently residing in the state of Wisconsin and flexible to travel consistently across both their assigned territory as well as nationally (including up to 60% of the time overnight).

The Territory Manager position takes on a “hunter” and an “individual contributor” role while managing long-term relationships and operational processes relative to organic (national and traditional account) and new sales opportunities. Detailed aspects of the job responsibilities include:

  • Meeting/exceeding sales budget expectations including incorporating promotions (such as product styles or distribution methods) into the approach
  • Maintaining and regularly utilizing our Salesforce platform and other software to manage customer relations, analyze business activities, and quantify performance results
  • Proactively and responsively engaging with customers daily, including distributors and end-users
  • Partnering internally with distribution, product management, and purchasing to keep communication channels open and to plan processes relative to new product concepts, joint sales presentations, and delivery implementations
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities (clients, verticals, etc.)
  • Conveying and showcasing the technical capabilities of Showa products to distributors and end users
  • Building and maintaining one’s self as a solutions resource via regular participation in sales meetings, distribution conferences, and as needed
  • Training and motivating distributors of SHOWA to best promote our products
  • Complying with company policies relative to travel approvals and expense processing
  • Following directives and assisting leadership with tasks and projects that may require activities outside of direct sales functions

Ideal Territory Manager candidates possess on-the-job industrial safety experience as well as like-kind sales experience. As a company continuously focused on leveraging digital resources to streamline efficiencies, SHOWA seeks candidates who are comfortable using technology, specifically Salesforce (CRM), Slack (messaging), Google Workspace (productivity suite), and more (business analysis/market research tools, etc.). We need candidates who are able to travel regularly; while your work base will be your home, travel demands are strategic and heavy in this role. General knowledge of manufacturer, wholesaler, and distributor functions as well as the assigned market is a MUST.
