Trigo is seeking a full time Traveling Quality Technician in Davenport, Iowa.

**MUST BE BASED NEAR OR AROUND Davenport, Iowa.** Pay is $17-18hr and it is a 1st shift position.( Monday-Friday / 5:30a.m.-2:00p.m. )

  • Overall Purpose

  • The Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances.


  • May Report to

    Site Manager

    Responsibilities

    (To include but not limited to the following)

    Customer Relationship & Business Development

  • Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria
  • Operations

  • Performs audits on incoming material using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use
  • Contains non-conforming parts and/or sub-assembles
  • Rectifies non-conforming material by rework, sorting and/or scrapping as directed by Team Leader
  • Uses methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly and/or disassembly to rectify non-conforming material
  • Determines the tools and equipment needed to do the job
  • Grinds, sands, cleans and oils parts and/or sub-assemblies by using hand tools or equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

  • This position does not include supervisory responsibilities

  • Must be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies
  • Must be able to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assemblies
