Job description

WSP is currently searching for a Traffic Management Center (TMC) Program Manager!

This role can work out of various offices in the Virigina Mid-Atlantic Region.

This Opportunity

The Traffic Management Center (TMC) Program Manager will be responsible for all work necessary to provide for the general management, oversight, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), contract administration, and management support personnel. 

The Program Manager shall:

  • Be available all times during off-duty hours to provide assist operations staff.
  • Participate in on-site and off-site meetings, build and maintain relationships with operational stakeholders. 
  • Manage staff administration, performance, and oversight. 
  • Lead performance measurement, management, and reporting.
  • Implementation and oversight of client policies and directives. 
  • Lead data analytics activities including economic evaluation, and system evaluation. 
  • Report to the client daily on all matters affecting operations of the TMC. 
  • Be on call 24/7/365 for emergency and/or operational problems. 
  • Attend meetings with the client for purposes of relaying information. 
  • Create and distribute weekly, and monthly reports as needed, and
  • Address special requests by the client for gathering data and/or generating reports. 

Education and Experience 

Desired education and experience for this project include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 12+ years of relevant experience 
  • Experience in TMC operations with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in TMC/Traffic operations/emergency operations, and transportation systems management and operations (TSMO), 
  • At least 4 years of project management experience for projects with a net worth of at least $5M, 
  • Experience in managing projects and tasks from inception to completion, and
  • Experience supervising a minimum of twenty-five employees.
