Job description

What You Will Do:
  • Provide direct support to senior advisors within the U.S. government.
  • Analyze and interpret defense trade issues, requirements, and regulatory impacts.
  • Apply knowledge of ITAR and related federal regulations governing defense trade.
  • Support congressional reporting needs through data analysis and Excel-based products.
  • Prepare clear, concise written materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with counterparts across the U.S. government to gather information, coordinate actions, and support decision-making.

What You Will Need:
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum THREE (3) years of experience in relevant disciplines and fields, preferably in a national security setting
  • Strong understanding of defense trade concepts and regulatory frameworks, including ITAR.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and Excel.
  • Ability to be on-site in Washington, DC full-time.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn the nuances of defense trade operations.
  • Experience supporting senior U.S. government advisors or similar stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with interagency coordination across federal departments.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
