Job description

The successful candidate will be a full-time trader on the US Treasury trading desk. 

As such the daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Taking part in all fed operations, including auctions and buybacks, 
  • Making a secondary market in 10-30yr treasury securities, effectively monitoring risks and hedging flows that are executed both on e-platforms and through voice inquiries/sales interaction.
  • The candidate will also work on several specific projects to improve our trading tools and risk analytics analysis, as well as automate our flows.
  • It as well implies to work with several teams in the bank: The candidate will be expected to engage clients directly to increase dialogue and trust to enhance the primary dealer franchise.
  • Fundamental understanding of US Treasury market dynamics, market making and relative value

  • Taking part in all Fed operations, including auctions and buybacks, making a secondary market in treasury securities
  • Monitoring risks and hedging flows that are executed both on E platforms and through voice inquiries/sales interaction.
  • Engage clients directly to increase dialogue and trust to enhance the primary dealer franchise 
    • Provide commentary, trade ideas and market color to SG salesforce.
  • Work closely with IT, quant, and algorithmic trading teams to ensure appropriate functioning of pricing, risk management and hedging tools.
