Tennessee Trucking Association (TTA) is a non-profit trade association representing more than 500 trucking companies and industry vendors in the state of Tennessee. Our mission is to serve motor carriers with excellence and integrity while advancing highway safety. We provide our members with a range of benefits and services to help them succeed. We are located in the Nashville Metropolitan Area.


Role Description

We are looking for a full-time Foundation Coordinator to join our team. This is an on-site role located in the Nashville Metropolitan Area. The Foundation Coordinator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Foundation, including grant research, fundraising, philanthropy, administrative assistance, and communication.


⮚ Seeking funding from grants

⮚ Maintaining records and reporting of grant expenditures

⮚ Schedule and coordinate annual Road Team Selection and Training

⮚ Manage creation and production of Teens & Trucks and Aging Driver Curriculums

⮚ Manage creation and production of the Teens & Trucks Website, Computer App, and Social Media 

Platforms

⮚ Develop and maintain a distribution list of schools and organizations that offer Drivers Education 

Classes in Tennessee as well as senior citizen centers

⮚ Develop and cultivate partnerships with Drivers Education Instructors and senior citizen 

management at each location

⮚ Develop and maintain a distribution list of Tennessee School Resource Officers in 

Tennessee

⮚ Develop and cultivate partnerships with Tennessee School Resource Officers in 

Tennessee

⮚ Distribute the Teens & Trucks Curriculum to schools, organizations, Drivers Education 

Instructors, Tennessee School Resource Officers, etc.

⮚ Schedules and coordinates Tennessee’s Road Team presentations at Drivers Education Classes, 

schools in Tennessee, senior citizen centers, and other events

⮚ Assist in coordinating special events promoting Teen and Aging Driver Safety

⮚ Oversee the raffle ticket fundraiser assuring that proper authorization is applied for and 

obtained, all 1,000 tickets are sold and required reporting is filed with the State of Tennessee 

each year

⮚ Oversee the silent auction - gathering, organizing, pricing, set up, bidding, and closing each 

year


Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in research, fundraising, and philanthropy
  • Ability to provide administrative assistance
  • Knowledge of the trucking industry and related regulations would be a plus but not required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
