We arelooking for: Internal MedicineVeterinaryAssistant - Communications

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9a-5p
The Internal Medicine team is constantly working with our internists to provide information to our clientsregardingpatient care,updatesand treatments. This is one department thatfocuses on relationship building as patient care is longer in duration.If you want to combine your love of animals and clients, this is the department for you!

Whatyou'lldo:
  • Answer telephones and transfer calls
  • Manage medical records, charts,reportsand correspondences
  • Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
  • Set up andassistwith endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
  • Manage appointments, obtainhistoriesand updatepatientsinformation
  • Accurate and thorough documentation of medical records
  • Patient discharge and client education
Who you are:
  • Prior veterinary experiencerequired,previousinternal medicineexperience desired
  • Proficientincalculations(drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
