FULL-TIME THRIFT STORE ASSOCIATE (Onsite)
The ideal candidate will possess an outgoing personality and good organizational skills. Duties will include cashiering, answering the phone, scheduling donation pick-ups, and some warehouse and sales floor duties. Experience running a non-barcode cash register and credit card machines a plus. Lifting and standing for long periods may be necessary.
Hubbard House is looking for people passionate about making a difference in the lives of victims of domestic violence and their families. We are looking for candidates with strong relationship-building skills and who believe in putting the needs of clients first.
Requirements
WORK EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and be able to lift and move furniture and other large or heavy objects. Must be able to work on Saturdays and some holidays. Must be flexible; schedules subject to change. HS diploma or GED required. Sales, cashier experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
Must be able to read, write and speak English. A valid driver's license and dependable transportation required. Vehicle insurance must be maintained. Must meet eligibility requirements for Hubbard House, Inc. vehicle insurance coverage. Must be able to produce proof of eligibility to work in the United States (E-Verify).
Due to the serious nature of our mission, applicants chosen to move forward in the hiring process must submit to the following: 1) a level-2 background screening which includes a criminal background check through the Department of Family and Children (DCF), Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), and the National Sex Offender Registry (at a minimum); 2) a motor vehicle report (MVR) is also run against the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV); and 3) a drug, alcohol, and TB screening.
Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: sexual assault, domestic violence programs, bi-lingual.
All duties and requirements are essential job functions. All requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
This is an onsite position.
FULL TIME / NON-EXEMPT
PAY: From $15.00 per hour; commensurate with experience
