Location: Andre Agassi Club (800 North Martin Luther King Boulevard Las Vegas, NV 89106)
The Teen Specialist is responsible for overseeing all teen programs at their assigned Clubhouse(s). This includes planning, development, reporting, and implementation of these programs in collaboration with the Programs team. The Teen Specialist also assists with other operational functions of the Clubhouse and may serve as acting Clubhouse supervisor in the absence of the Clubhouse Director and Assistant Clubhouse Director.

The essential job duties for this role include:

ยท Plan, create, and oversee the administration of teen and assigned programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes:

ยทEstablish teen program objectives through collaboration with the Programs team that align with organizational goals and mission.

ยทOversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.

ยทEnsure members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive respect, recognition, instruction, and constructive feedback to develop skills in all program areas.

ยทDemonstrate leadership in relation to members, parents/guardians, Youth Development Professionals, and visitor conduct and safety to ensure a proper environment for member development.

ยทServe as a mentor/role model for members.

ยท Promote and communicate programs, activities, events, and field trips to members and families.

ยท Enforce and abide by Clubhouse rules, organization policies, procedures, and practices.

ยท Drive Club vans periodically.

ยท Maintain a professional appearance and bearing reflective of the high standards of the Boys amp; Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and/or Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. ยท High school diploma or equivalent.

ยท Three years of experience in a Boys amp; Girls Club or similar organization working with middle school and/or high school aged youth.

ยท Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google suite of productivity applications (Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook, etc.).

ยท Ability to deal effectively with multi-age groups of children, small groups of children in activities and free play, and large groups of children in organized activities.

ยท Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for the safety, well-being, and output of others.

ยท Strong communication skills

Compensation: This position pay starting from $19.00 hourly

Full-time benefit eligibility after the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k), Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off and Employee Assistance Program. Employment with BGCSNV may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
