Job description

Responsibilities
Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Reliability Control Board (RBC) Developer/Analyst to work on the reliability control board (RCB) team as an analyst and data visualization expert at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. This is a full-time position with telework as the standard arrangement, complemented by occasional in-office requirements.
The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • The Data Visualization Specialist performs various tasks associated with designing and developing data visualizations including providing visualization solutions to inform senior leader decision making and translating complex statistics so users and clients can easily understand analytic results.
  • Collaborates with colleagues and leadership to provide a clear and intuitive approach to big data analytics through the development of informative and professional dashboards and apps.
  • Performs transformation of vast data sets into digestible visuals, designs easy-to-understand graphic representations of data sets, and compiles data to create reports for all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce visualizations to communicate findings using tables and charts.
  • Proficient with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Data Science, Math, Economics, Business Analytics or other related technical degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in data visualization and analytics
  • At least 5 years of design and development experience and demonstrated proficiency using Tableau
  • At least 5 years of experience analyzing data to develop compelling and easy to understand visualizations
  • Familiarization with visualization best practices and how to apply them to complex messaging
  • Ability to communicate results efficiently and effectively to all levels of an organization
  • Candidate must hold an active DoD secret level security clearance
  • U.S. citizen required

Nice to have:
  • Master's Degree in Data Science, Math, Economics, Business Analytics or other related technical degree
  • At least 5 years of design and development experience and demonstrated proficiency using Qlik or Power BI.
  • Tableau developer certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A working knowledge of Naval Aviation maintenance and supply processes and their data systems (i.e., NAMP, P-485, OOMA/DECKPLATE, AMSRR, RSUPPLY, AFAST, ACES, TFMMS, SHARP/MSHARP, PSILS, and ASM)
  • At least 3 years of experience developing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines to include:
    • Identifying query requirements to support visualization end goals
    • Cleaning and transforming multiple data reports to accommodate analysis needs
    • Modeling and loading resultant data reports

Compensation Statement
At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $138,938.00 - $153,244.00
