Pittsburgh Transportation Group is seeking a full-time Transportation Dispatcher to support our daily transportation operations. In this essential role, you'll coordinate driver assignments, monitor fleet activity, manage schedules, and help ensure safe, efficient, and dependable transportation services throughout our network.

Available Shifts
  • Sunday-Thursday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Monday-Friday: 3:30 AM - 11:30 AM
What You'll Do as a Transportation Dispatcher:
  • Coordinate daily transportation, shuttle, and charter operations
  • Dispatch drivers and assign trips based on service needs, customer requirements, and operational priorities
  • Monitor routes, schedules, and fleet activity to ensure on-time service
  • Make real-time adjustments to driver assignments and schedules as operational needs change
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers, providing support, guidance, and operational updates
  • Respond quickly and effectively to service disruptions, delays, traffic issues, and customer requests
  • Track operational performance and complete daily reports and documentation
  • Coordinate vehicle assignments and communicate with maintenance teams regarding vehicle availability and readiness
  • Assist customers with reservations, transportation inquiries, schedule updates, and service requests
  • Accurately process trip bookings, modifications, and cancellations
  • Work closely with Safety, Training, and Operations teams to ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations
  • Address customer concerns professionally and help resolve service-related issues in a timely manner

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two or more years of experience in dispatching, transportation operations, logistics, customer service, fleet coordination, or a related field preferred
