Job description

Job Summary

Performs advanced structural engineering and analysis tasks to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex systems including mechanical, electronic, and aerospace equipment. Acts as a technical lead on complex projects, ensuring structural integrity, performance, and compliance with engineering standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis, design, and evaluation for complex engineering systems
  • Lead or support engineering projects involving research, development, testing, and integration
  • Develop detailed design specifications and perform engineering reviews
  • Analyze engineering problems and propose solutions and improvements
  • Conduct site investigations and experimental testing as required
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, logistics, and program management
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, documentation, and test procedures
  • Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation
  • Support proposal development and provide technical input on project scope
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycle
  • Participate in design reviews and technical meetings as a subject matter expert
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • Typically 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 2+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of structural analysis and engineering principles
  • Experience with engineering tools and computer-based analysis systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering problems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Eligibility for security clearance may be required
