Job description

The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily stewarding operations to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient back-of-house environment. This role supports kitchen and event production by managing product flow, maintaining sanitation standards, and directing stewarding staff to meet operational and event-driven needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the stewarding team in organizing, washing, and properly storing all products and equipment

• Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking product, and verifying orders for accuracy,

substitutions, or missing items

• Ensure proper FIFO/LIFO rotation practices are followed when storing product

• Oversee general kitchen maintenance, including trash removal, product retrieval, and completion of daily closeout tasks

• Manage chemical inventory, usage, and ordering to maintain compliance and availability

• Monitor staff attendance, engagement, and task performance throughout the shift

• Assign, direct, and supervise daily stewarding tasks and special projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion

• Coordinate and execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, including deep-cleaning assignments

• Ensure reusable food products are returned to the kitchen for proper handling and utilization

• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient stewarding operation that supports both production and

event culinary teams

• Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly maintained

and cleaned, including speed racks, ovens, stoves, and hot boxes. Oversees detailed cleaning

procedures and upholds sanitation standards. Maintains and executes a structured schedule for

routine equipment maintenance and comprehensive kitchen cleaning cycles.

• Reports directly to Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef with coordination of Warehouse Management & Purchasing Chef

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in Staffing, with preferred Food & Beverage/Banquets/Hospitality experience
  • Must live near Atlanta, GA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, written and verbal communication, and teamwork.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as needed, to meet operations and staffing needs.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an office, warehouse, and kitchen environment.
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • At times there will be prolonged times of sitting and computer usage.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.
