Job Summary:
The Senior BI Report Developer will design, develop, and deliver advanced dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making across the organization. This role is part of an upcoming project with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), supporting FPAC business intelligence needs by leveraging modern tools and technologies such as Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL-based platforms, ensuring high-quality, performance-driven reporting aligned with federal data standards, governance policies, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions
  • Translate business requirements into data-driven insights and reporting solutions
  • Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
  • Create interactive visualizations and performance-optimized reports
  • Integrate data from multiple sources into BI platforms
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements
  • Optimize report performance and usability for end users
  • Support data warehouse and ETL processes for reporting needs
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards
  • Provide production support, troubleshooting, and enhancements
  • Promote best practices for BI development and user adoption

Skills Required:
  • Strong experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Oracle Analytics, Databricks)
  • Advanced SQL and data querying skills
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration
  • Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms (AWS, Databricks)
  • Ability to build interactive dashboards and visual storytelling solutions
  • Understanding of data quality, governance, and reporting standards
  • Experience working in Agile environments and SDLC processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and drive adoption
