Join a Growing Healthcare Team Making a Difference

Maxx Life Health Care is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Assistant / Medical Interpreter to join our expanding practice. This is an exciting opportunity to help patients through the U.S. Immigration Medical Examination (USCIS Form I-693) process while supporting our primary care and specialty medical services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an interpreter for Spanish-speaking patients during office visits.
  • Assist with the immigration physical process from start to finish.
  • Help patients complete required paperwork and explain the process.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
  • Prepare patients for provider examinations.
  • Perform medical assistant duties including:
    • Taking vital signs
    • Recording medical history
    • Documenting in the EMR
    • Drawing blood (preferred)
    • Administering injections (if certified)
  • Coordinate laboratory testing, vaccines, and referrals.
  • Answer incoming calls and assist Spanish-speaking patients.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Assist with other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (required)
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred (not required for experienced candidates)
  • Previous experience in a medical office preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using computers and electronic medical records
  • Friendly, professional, and dependable
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
