Job Description

NAOVI is seeking a Software Engineer full stack developer supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services. The tasks are as follows:

Mandatory Skills

  • All candidates must currently possess an Active TSSCI w/FS polygraph security clearance. Required
  • Candidates without clearance will NOT be considered for this position.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years)
    a. Performing schema updates
    b. Possessing significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries
    c. Possessing significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work
    d. Possessing significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list).
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment.
  • College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree

Optional Skills

  • Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services.
  • Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB.
