Solar Maintenance Technician

Southern California (Riverside / San Bernardino Area)

Full-Time | Company Vehicle | Dispatch from Home

Industrial Pro Recruiting is conducting a confidential search on behalf of an established residential solar services organization that continues to expand its field operations throughout Southern California.

We're seeking a hands-on Solar Maintenance Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential solar PV systems while delivering exceptional customer service. Position Overview

This position is responsible for maintaining and servicing residential solar energy systems to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, replacing components, performing preventative maintenance, and educating homeowners on system operation.

Technicians dispatch directly from home each morning and primarily support customers throughout Southern California. Most service routes are within approximately a 70-mile radius, depending on operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential solar PV systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to maximize system performance and reliability.
  • Repair or replace inverters, modules, disconnects, wiring, and other electrical components.
  • Assist with system modifications and occasional installation support as needed.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records.
  • Provide outstanding customer service during residential service visits.
  • Safely operate and maintain a company-issued vehicle.
  • Stay current on solar technology, electrical codes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of residential solar maintenance, service, or troubleshooting experience.
  • Active California Residential Electrician or General Electrician License (required).
  • Strong understanding of residential solar PV systems and associated electrical equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting inverters, electrical systems, and solar components.
  • Comfortable working on residential rooftops (1–3 stories).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Candidates living in or near Riverside or San Bernardino are strongly preferred.
