Sr. Electrical Traveling Utility Solar Superintendent – Lead Large-Scale Renewable Power Installations


Job Overview

  • Company: Montes Electric, Inc.
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $40 to $50 per hour.
  • Location: Onsite / Mobile (100% Travel Required).
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Project Scope: Utility-Scale Solar Farm Electrical Construction.
  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: OSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain).


The Opportunity

You will serve as a critical field leader, driving the successful execution of daily on-site electrical construction activities for major utility-scale solar farm projects. This role gives you the autonomy to manage crews, coordinate subcontractors, and enforce rigorous quality and safety standards while working for a company that actively supports your professional development and professional growth.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Direct and manage daily on-site electrical construction activities to ensure utility solar projects meet specific engineering plans.
  • Supervise field crews and coordinate external subcontractors to maintain high-quality electrical installations.
  • Enforce strict safety and quality standards on-site to maintain a safe, hazard-free working environment for all personnel.
  • Drive strict project schedule and production targets to prevent delays and keep deliverables on track.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of daily construction progress, labor hours, and safety compliance records.
  • Resolve real-time technical and logistical issues on-site to ensure optimal production efficiency and team workflow.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Possession of an OSHA 30 certification, or a firm willingness to obtain it immediately upon hire.
  • Absolute willingness and flexibility to travel 100% of the time to various nationwide project assignments.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills necessary for managing diverse field teams and subcontractors.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of electrical leadership experience, specifically overseeing large-scale field crews and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated experience specializing in utility-scale solar farm construction and renewable energy power systems.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of commercial/industrial electrical practices, distribution networks, and grid connections.
