What You'll Do

As an automotive Senior Fixture Designer, you will be pivotal for designing and developingfixtures used in the automotive manufacturing process. You will be responsible for ensuring the precision, efficiency, and adherence of our fixtures to SyBridge and customer design and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilize CAD software to surface and design automotive fixtures for various components, ensuring alignment with production requirements.
  • Leverage experience in designing assembly, inspection, and machining fixtures to efficiently support our customers' needs.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis to evaluate the practicality and effectiveness of a proposed design translated with customer part concessions
  • Order parts and components related to a specific job using internal purchasing software and tools.
  • Create comprehensive documentation and work instructions to enable customer and manufacturing review.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure the seamless integration of the design changes into the existing tools (e.g., save cut files for the floor to manufacture changes).
  • Collaborate with Quality team to support continuous improvement efforts and ensureengineering changes are implemented correctly and to design intent.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in continuous improvementmethodologies and engineering processes, and proactively propose innovative solutions.
  • Coach and mentor engineers and foster a culture of problem-solving and innovation.


What You Bring

  • At least 7 years in the automotive fixture industry.
  • College or University degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS, for design.
  • Proficiency in business and analytical tools like Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint,), D365, Teams, etc.
  • Detail-oriented designer with an understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
