Overview

The Software Engineer supports the development and build of systems and solutions with low complexity that may have technology or service impact. This role involves working on single initiatives or small components of multiple initiatives, applying concepts, practices, and procedures to complete low complexity assignments. The Associate Software Engineer takes ownership of their work product with guidance and works as an individual contributor under immediate supervision. 

Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality software deliverables by leveraging automation and tooling best practices.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and isolate software problems.
  • Suggest fixes to issues by doing analysis of root cause and impact of the defect.
  • Assist with the integration of solutions to other applications and platforms.
  • Perform configuration, as needed.
  • Assist with incident resolution.
  • Code applications using a disciplined development process.
  • Develop and test assigned software areas following development process.
  • Perform automated testing and best practices within CI/CD.
  • Review code for quality assurance and build into development artifact and practices.
  • Support maintaining up-to-date documentation of software features, APIs, etc.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Typically, 1 - 3 years of experience as a developer, programmer, software engineer, or other relevant role.
  • Experience using engineering methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Scala).
  • Basic knowledge of development platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Pega, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Native-level proficiency/fluent in English.
Preferred Qaulifications
  • Knowledge of software design principles, application servers, middleware, and related tools and concepts.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, and Rust).
  • Experience in leading development platforms (e.g., AWS, Salesforce, Docker, and Kubernetes).
  • Understanding and application of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle).
  • Experience using operating systems (e.g., Linux, UNIX, and macOS).
  • Experience using agentic AI in development and documentation (Claude Code)
  • Experience debugging using observability tools (Dynatrace)
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment pipelines (Harness, GitHub Actions)
  • Demonstrated scripting and coding skills, along with a basic understanding of programming languages, to effectively develop and maintain software code.
  • Basic release and deployment skills to support agile release processes and improve the deployment process.
  • Basic testing skills to identify errors and bugs, enhancing the robustness of processes.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information, and to draw conclusions.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
