Job Summary: 

The Houseperson is responsible for cleaning and maintaining public areas of the hotel, assisting room attendants with the general cleaning of guest rooms. This includes vacuuming, shampooing of carpets; cleaning/waxing of floors; trash removal; stocking and maintaining supply rooms and other cleaning duties. 

Job Specifications:  

  • Starting Wage: $20/hr  
  • Employment Type: Summer Seasonal 2026  
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available 
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age  
  • Housing Availability: Yes  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty ash urns, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning. 
  • Clean public areas - hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc. 
  • Remove dirty linen, terry and trash from the service areas and take it to the appropriate locations. 
  • Assist sectional housekeepers as needed (i.e. moving furniture, rollways, etc.) 
  • Reporting missing or damaged articles and submitting all found items to Housekeeping office according to Lost and Found procedures. 
  • Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction. 
  • Ensure that all the hallways are clear of trash and used room service trays have been taken to the Stewarding department. 
  • Reports the need for floor cleaning/polishing and carpet shampoo; coordinates and uses equipment to conduct cleaning procedures. 
  • Arrange the newspapers and magazines in the lobby; clearing tables of used materials and/or trash. 
  • Report any maintenance issues in a timely manner to ensure all items are logged with the PBX center. 
  • Transport baby cribs and rollaway beds to the guest rooms. 
  • Participation in training classes set up by The Arrabelle, Rock Resort and Vail Resorts.    
  • Complies with all Resort policies, procedures and standards of operation. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements: 

  • High School or GED. -Preferred 
  • 2 - 3 years of housekeeping experience or equivalent. - Preferred 
  • Previous experience housekeeping in hotels or condos. -Preferred  
  • Must be able to communicate in efficiently in English. -Required  
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish. -Preferred 
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. -Required  
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in excess of 2 hours without sitting. -Required 
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays. -Required 

The expected pay range is $20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
