Job description


Position overview:

The position is responsible for:

  • This position is responsible for cutting fabric, sewing sample memos, tagging sample memos, and other duties within the department.
  • Focus on quality to providing our customer the pattern, color, run, qty, they ordered with an eye for minimizing flaws.
  • Production of sample memos accurately, efficiently, and according to Thibaut specifications and requirements.
  • Maintaining inventory accurately and according to company policies.
  • Recognizing quality issues.
  • Escalating safety, quality and any other issues that may arise during the operation.
  • Meet or exceed any productivity standards.
  • Participate in all provided training, including helping to train new operators at times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Safely operates any equipment, including, but not limited to, sewing machines (Juki, Yamata, Singer, others), powered cutting equipment, scissors.
  • Responsible for sewing and producing samples accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follows established department policies and procedures.
  • Assures all fabric samples are cut, inspected for flaws, sewn, and labeled per industry standards and customer’s specifications, within Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Partners with the internal teams, as needed, to meet and exceed customer’s service expectations.
  • Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
  • Maintains or exceeds the standards that have been set for the team, demonstrates commitment and is accountable for results.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience with textiles fabric cutting and fabric sewing required.
  • Prior experience with Sewing Operations in an industrial setting preferred. Including experience with various cutting, sewing, and finishing machines.
  • Strong math skills.
