About the Role:
First Call Security Innovations LLC is looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team in Houston, TX. This is your opportunity to play a critical role in protecting lives and property by installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire alarm systems. If you're passionate about life safety and technical excellence, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Install, program, test, and commission fire alarm systems in commercial and residential settings
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system testing in compliance with NFPA 72 standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot fire alarm system malfunctions and perform timely repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Complete accurate service reports, inspection documentation, and as-built drawings
  • Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction)
  • Ensure all work meets local, state, and national fire and life safety codes
Requirements:
  • Texas State Fire Alarm License (FAL) or ability to obtain one
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codes
  • Experience with major fire alarm brands (Notifier, Simplex, Honeywell, or similar)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle on-call duties
