Position Summary: Responsible for the delivery of food and services to patients and customers. Follows all cooking assignments maintaining a sanitary and safe working area at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follows sanitation guidelines

  • Follows recipes and preparation instructions

  • Accurately and efficiently uses cooking equipment

  • Knowledgeable of basic diet

  • Properly portions all food and ingredients per department standards

  • Prepares food to accurate consistency per diet requirements

  • Preps food items for current use and next day

  • Follows production sheets and records all related HACCP documentation

  • Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits

  • Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct
