Located in Orange, California, Gateway Physical Therapy is recognized for its comprehensive rehabilitation services tailored to meet the individual needs of our diverse patient population. Our facility specializes in Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation, Sports Rehabilitation, and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation. This position is based onsite in a modern hospital setting, where teamwork and patient-centric care are paramount. Our clinic houses advanced rehabilitation technologies and equipment, enabling our team to provide high-quality treatment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs and clinic operations, ensuring that we can provide care that is convenient and accessible.

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to enhance patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to promote healing, alleviate pain, and restore mobility.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and effective exercise techniques, equipping them with the skills needed for home programs that boost recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring that therapy equipment and supplies are organized and available for use during sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to foster comprehensive patient care.
• Provide emotional and motivational support to patients throughout their rehabilitation process, creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
• Adhere to ethical standards of practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and maintaining a culture of respect within the healthcare environment.

In this role, you will engage with a diverse group of patients, ranging from children requiring pediatric rehabilitation to elderly individuals seeking geriatric care. Each interaction offers unique opportunities to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet patients’ varied needs, whether they are recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or participating in sports rehabilitation.

• An Associate degree from an accredited program for Physical Therapist Assistants.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong foundational knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy interventions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in implementing treatment protocols and therapeutic exercises under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, fostering effective relationships with patients and the healthcare team.

• Additional certifications in specialized areas of rehabilitation therapy would be beneficial but are not mandatory.
