What the role is about:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Safety and Security Manager to join our growing and dynamic team! The Safety and Security Manager will oversee and manage physical security at the production facilities and dispensaries.  The ideal candidate will provide campus-wide leadership and direction in all areas of security, loss control prevention, and safety.
What impact you’ll make: 
  • Prepare monthly shift schedules for Safety and Security Officers at the manufacturing and cultivation facility
  • Conduct annual performance reviews of full-time and part-time safety and security officers
  • Performing security patrols by company or client vehicle and/or on foot
  • Protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, trespassing, fire and accidents
  • Develop and implement loss prevention policies to mitigate theft, fraud and operational shrinkage
  • Monitor and analyze inventory shrinkage, theft trends and fraud risks
  • The observation and reporting of any unlawful activity
  • Monitors security conditions at the production, cultivation and retail facilities
  • Manage security incident response planning and investigation of breaches
  • The protection of individuals or property from harm or misappropriation
  • Oversee the control of access to premises being protected
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any access control or security monitoring system issues
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure state and local compliance
  • Investigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorized by Vireo Health on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety, and fire
  • Complete regular safety and security audits to ensure continued regulatory compliance
  • Ensure OSHA compliance
  • Serve as training officer for new safety and security staff
  • Facilitate monthly safety meetings
  • Coordinate hazardous waste disposal
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in written form; Required documentation by writing reports
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Vireo Health Management Team, Operations Manager, or Site Lead; including transportation of product and currency as needed from production site to dispensary
  • Maintain the professional standards of Vireo Health by following the policies and procedures of company
  • Obey the laws of the applicable state
  • Abide by the Private Security Professional Code of Ethics in upholding professionalism and integrity of the industry
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement and excellence
What you’ve accomplished:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • 5+ years of work experience in Criminal Justice or Security
  • 2+ years in a Supervisory Role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and have strong multitasking and management skills
  • Must have a legal driver’s license and be willing to travel

  • Compensation: $65.000-85,000 depending on experience
