We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Information Technology team in Irving, TX. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Senior Software Developer,you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality product features across web and mobile interfaces, APIs, services, and data layers using modern, test-driven engineering practices.
  • Partner with technical leadership to architect scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions that address user needs and support strategic organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with product owners and designers to clarify requirements, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and deliver solutions that balance user experience with technical integrity.
  • Mentor and support developers by modeling strong software craftsmanship, sharing technical knowledge, and fostering continuous learning, feedback, and accountability.
  • Take ownership of product quality and outcomes across the development lifecycle, leveraging AI and other modern tools to improve development efficiency while supporting deployment, incident response, performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study and five (5) or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), programming languages including C#, .NET, .NET Core, or Angular, and databases such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to design and implement well-structured, scalable web services and front ends, with practical experience applying AI to support development and optimize workflows.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of testing practices and techniques, with the ability to understand a variety of programming languages and patterns.
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
