Their job involves driving large trucks or towing RVs, ensuring safe and timely delivery, and sometimes handling paperwork and inspection upon delivery. These drivers are typically employed by transport companies or may work as independent contractors. The role requires a clean driving record, knowledge of DOT regulations, and the ability to handle long-distance routes. It is a physically demanding job that often requires extended periods away from home.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time RV transport driver?

To thrive as a Full Time RV Transport Driver, you need a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), a clean driving record, and experience with towing or hauling large vehicles. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations is typically required. Strong time management, problem-solving abilities, and good communication skills help drivers handle long routes, unexpected issues, and customer interactions. These skills ensure safe and efficient RV deliveries, compliance with legal requirements, and positive client relationships.
