Job Description

As a Security Officer Roving Patrol in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic cultural institution, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming location through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, innovative approach while assisting with day-to-day security-related operations.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $14.79 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PMTue03:00 PM - 11:00 PMWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PMThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assisting with entry procedures, directional support, and reporting unauthorized or suspicious activity.
  • Support the protection of exhibits, property, and restricted areas by observing surroundings, following post instructions, and reporting maintenance, security-related, and/or operational issues promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
