Summary: The Fiber Installation Technician is to be responsible for properly pulling fiber by hand, with a fiber puller, or blowing fibers. Setting handholes per company standards. Trenching in conduit to depth. Work with other crew members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hand-pull Fiber per company standards
  • Use Fiber Puller and Fiber Blower to install fiber
  • Set Handholes
  • Trench conduit
  • Cut concrete
  • Core drill
  • Install conduit (EMT, Rigid, Plenum)
  • Proof conduit (rod and rope)
  • Gain access to handhole and manholes
  • Read Designs
  • Set up traffic control
  • Make ready wood poles
  • Run equipment (Fiber Puller, Fiber Blower, Mini Excavator, Micro Plow, Aerial Lift, etc.)

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Traveling is a requirement
