Full, Time, Registered Nurse (RN), Gastroenterology, Emerson Health, Concord, MA

Are you a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) looking to play a vital role in patient care without bedside demands? Join our Gastroenterology team as a Triage Nurse, where you’ll be a trusted clinical resource for patients, providers, and staff.

In this dynamic role, you’ll help guide patients through their care journey—assessing symptoms, providing education, and ensuring they receive the right care at the right time. What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a key clinical liaison between patients, physicians, and care teams
  • Respond to incoming patient calls and clinical inquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Perform telephone triage, assessing symptoms and determining appropriate care levels
  • Provide evidence-based guidance using established clinical protocols
  • Conduct pre-procedure calls and ensure patients are prepared and informed
  • Educate patients and families on managing health conditions at home
  • Support care coordination and communication across the Gastroenterology team
  • Adapt to changing schedules and patient needs in a fast-paced clinical environment

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent patient needs
