Position Overview

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled, compassionate care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate recovery. This role is essential in ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes for both mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to obstetrical patients during labor and delivery
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond to changes in condition
  • Support patients and families throughout the childbirth and recovery process
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
  • Certification:
    • Basic Life Support (CPR) – required
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required within 6 months
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of Labor & Delivery or relevant nursing experience preferred
