Contract Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Victor Valley, CA Contract Type: Full-Time Contract Residency Requirement: Candidates must live within 60 miles of the facility to qualify.

Overview

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurses to support our partner facility in Victor Valley, California. This contract role is ideal for RNs who excel in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and are committed to delivering safe, rapid, and evidence-based emergency care. You'll join a collaborative ED team dedicated to strong patient outcomes and efficient emergency response.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing emergent and acute medical conditions.
  • Perform triage, assessments, and rapid-response interventions based on patient acuity.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to ED protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
  • Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Document accurately and efficiently within the EMR system.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Uphold all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Must live within 60 miles of the facility to qualify for this contract role.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent Emergency Department experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred).
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and rapid-response skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
Preferred Qualifications
  • TNCC, ENPC, or other emergency specialty certifications.
  • Experience in high-volume or trauma-designated ED settings.
