Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Educator and Infection Preventionist is responsible for leading clinical education, staff development, competency validation, and infection prevention initiatives throughout the hospital. This role develops and delivers orientation, training, and continuing education programs while serving as the subject matter expert for infection prevention and control. Working collaboratively with leadership, physicians, and staff, the RN Educator and Infection Preventionist promotes evidence-based practice, patient safety, quality improvement, and a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Current state license as Registered Nurse
  • CPR/BCLS certification
  • Two (2) years bedside RN experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS
  • CRRN
  • Six (6) months' Medical/Surgical experience
  • Six (6) months to One (1) Rehabilitation experience
