Job description

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows rotation requirements in advanced trauma leadership skills for one year through provision and coordination of patient care on assigned units. Formulates and manages a plan of care in collaboration with the Trauma Nurse Fellowship and Outreach Manager. Facilitates interaction with all trauma units and disciplines. Mentors and serves as a clinical role model for all staff. Receives mentoring from assigned preceptors

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

RN with at least three years or more nursing experience and two year of critical care experience required. Verification of course completion in accordance with all American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider guidelines is required. BSN highly preferred. Specialty certification is desired. TNCC, ACLS, and PALS are highly preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

LICENSURE

Current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a Registered Nurse is required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
