Cascadia Metals is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Material Handler, to work out of our Hamilton branch. This role is a permanent full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle material within the warehouse utilizing 25 Tonne cranes with various attachments
  • Organizing coil bays for safety and space optimization
  • Help move rail cars following safety protocols
  • Scanning material with an RF scanner
  • Reading paperwork to ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing loads
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Forklift experience would be an asset
  • Able to learn and use industrial strapping tools
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices
  • Flexibility; able to multi-task and work as part of a team
  • Ability to read orders and complete basic paperwork
