Peter Pennoyer Architects, D.P.C. is a 50-person firm of architects, conservators, interior designers, and related professionals based in Manhattan and with offices in Miami and Palm Beach Florida. Founded in 1990, PPA is recognized as a leader in new construction, renovation, and historic preservation for residential, commercial, and institutional commissions across the United States and abroad.
We are currently seeking an Associate with at least 3 years to join one of the firm's highly skilled and technically innovative teams. Our work ranges from houses and apartments to institutional and commercial work, including mid-rise residential apartment buildings. Our portfolio of projects has consistently expanded and includes books on American architecture as well as museum exhibition design. The ideal candidate will have a strong Revit background and show evidence that they can consistently produce work of very high quality.
Role Description
• Be an essential part of a project team working on all phases of a design project from Pre-Design through Construction Administration
• Assist in project coordination and the production of project documentation
• Assist with survey and analysis of existing site conditions
• Produce drawings with direction from the design team
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and senior members to produce deliverables accurately and on time
• Prepare for and attend meetings with clients and consultants, record decisions, and issue notes
• Assist in coordination efforts with other project professionals
• Develop drawings and models through all phases from Pre-Design to Construction Administration
• Develops clear drawings from a Revit model
• Possesses the ability to build thoughtful, parametric model families in Revit
• Communicate effectively in written and oral formats
• Self-check own work and the work of other team members for completeness and accuracy
Qualifications
• Bachelor or masters degree in architecture
• At least 3 years of full-time professional experience post-graduation
• At least 3 years solid Revit experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, or other architectural and design software is a plus
• Excellent analytical, time management, conceptual, communication and organizational skill
• Experience working in a classical architecture firm is a plus
• Basic knowledge and understanding of different rendering techniques and excellent graphic skills
• Capable of instructing team members in Revit
• Precise and personable verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of architectural design and construction principles
• Must be able to commute to New York office 5 days per week
The pay range for this role is:
85,000 - 95,000 USD per year (New York Office)
