The clients you will serve are primarily stable adults facing end-of-life issues and emotional distress related to hospice care. Understanding the sensitive nature of this demographic is crucial, as clients may experience complex emotions involving grief and loss. Your role as a counselor is to provide empathetic support, fostering a safe space for clients to express their feelings while guiding them through challenging times.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Possession of an independent license, specifically as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), within the state of Texas.
• Strong proficiency in using telehealth platforms and computer systems to facilitate client sessions and manage documentation.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a hospice or palliative care setting, along with a solid background in addressing emotional and psychological issues specific to terminal illness or advanced age. Additionally, experience in teletherapy and a demonstrated ability to manage high caseloads efficiently will be advantageous.

• Competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and hours worked.
