• Conduct remote counseling sessions tailored for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing secure video conferencing technology to enhance client engagement.
• Perform thorough assessments to identify and understand the mental health concerns of clients, collaborating to develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques to effectively address clients' emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges.
• Provide immediate support during crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients through appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation, including records, progress notes, and treatment plans, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Educate clients on mental health issues, equipping them with coping strategies and resource information to empower them in managing their mental wellness.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external providers to ensure holistic care and comprehensive support for each client.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to remain current with best practices and innovations in the mental health field.

You will work with a diverse client population, encompassing various age groups and backgrounds, each facing unique mental health challenges. Your role is to build trust and rapport with clients, creating a safe space for them to explore their feelings and experiences. You will assist them in navigating through anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma recovery, and other psychological concerns, enabling them to develop healthier coping mechanisms and achieve their goals for personal growth.

• A current license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
• A bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is mandatory; a master’s degree or higher is preferred.
• At least two years of professional experience providing counseling or therapy.
• Experience in delivering mental health services in a remote or online setting is a distinct advantage.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster client engagement and rapport.
• Proficiency with telehealth technologies and online platforms to provide seamless and efficient counseling.
• A steadfast commitment to ethical counseling practices and maintaining client confidentiality.
• The ability to work autonomously while being an effective part of a remote collaborative team.

Prior experience in community mental health settings or within a health clinic framework is beneficial. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or solution-focused therapy, will enhance your efficacy in this role. Strong skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution are also preferred.

The compensation for this full-time role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
