In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:

• Conduct thorough assessments for individual and family therapy, tailoring ongoing sessions to meet each patient’s evolving needs.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions in accordance with our established schedule, promoting peer support and shared healing experiences.
• Develop strong therapeutic relationships with patients, ensuring that established boundaries foster a safe and productive therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with diverse patients, adapting approaches to fit varied backgrounds and DSM diagnoses.
• Utilize psychosocial assessments to create and implement comprehensive treatment plans that align with treatment goals and facilitate recovery.
• Document each individual and group session meticulously, ensuring compliance with medical necessity standards while maintaining confidentiality.
• Complete daily charge sheets and engage in weekly treatment planning sessions, providing updates on patient progress to inform team strategies.
• Assist in formulating Discharge Aftercare Plans, ensuring that all patients have appropriate follow-up support.
• Coordinate and manage patient care as needed, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support.
• Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in mental health through continuous learning opportunities, including seminars and workshops.

This role will involve working with a broad spectrum of clients, from children and transitional-age youth to middle adults and senior populations. Each demographic presents unique physical, psychological, and cultural needs, requiring an adaptable therapeutic approach grounded in respect for patient rights and individual experiences. You will play an integral part in addressing these diverse needs through tailored interventions.

• A valid and unrestricted license in the State of Nevada as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT is required.
• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field is mandatory.

While not mandatory, experience in a community health setting, knowledge of telehealth practices, or familiarity with various therapeutic modalities (such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care) will be advantageous in this role. Moreover, a strong ability to navigate complex cases and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team will contribute significantly to your success.
