• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological well-being of patients while documenting findings accurately.
• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans that reflect the most effective evidence-based approaches tailored to each patient's distinct needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure an integrated treatment approach that addresses both psychological and biological factors affecting patients.
• Provide crisis intervention services, ensuring that patients are effectively supported during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental wellness, treatment frameworks, and community support resources available to enhance their recovery journey.
• Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with legal guidelines, ensuring confidentiality while facilitating the ongoing care process.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities to remain current with best practices in mental health therapy.

In this role, you will focus on a broad spectrum of mental health conditions affecting a diverse patient population at our community health clinic. You will engage with individuals from various backgrounds, each bringing unique perspectives and needs. Your expertise will play a crucial part in helping patients navigate their mental health challenges and undertake significant steps toward recovery and personal growth.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
• A valid and current state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LPC/MHSP, or LMFT.
• Proficiency in electronic health record management and computer applications is essential.
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, effective treatment methodologies, and trauma-informed care is critical.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for establishing rapport with patients and colleagues alike.
• Dedication to maintaining professional ethics and standards within therapeutic relationships.

• Two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a proven track record of conducting mental health assessments and delivering therapy.
• Experience providing crisis intervention and support in high-pressure situations to effectively manage patient needs.
• Familiarity with community mental health resources and the ability to connect patients with necessary support networks.
