Mindful Journeys Therapy is actively seeking an experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. Located in Olean, New York, Mindful Journeys Therapy is a community health clinic dedicated to improving the lives of individuals through compassionate and holistic mental health care. Our outpatient psychiatry office specializes in providing top-notch therapy services focused on trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments utilizing evidence-based practices to devise tailored treatment plans that align with the individual needs of clients.
• Implement therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other modalities to empower clients on their road to recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory standards, ensuring professionalism in all aspects of practice.
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals, facilitating a well-rounded approach to client care.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings, contributing to the continuous quality improvement of therapies offered.
• Educate and support clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and community resources to instill confidence and facilitate informed decisions.
• Stay current on advancements in mental health research and integrate new methodologies into practice to enhance treatment delivery.

As an LMHC at Mindful Journeys Therapy, you will serve a diverse client base, including individuals from varied backgrounds experiencing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. By utilizing a personalized approach in treatment planning, you will help clients find pathways to improved mental health and emotional well-being.

• Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
• Proven ability to employ solution-focused psychotherapy interventions tailored to the diverse needs of clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build therapeutic relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities, enabling effective navigation through complex clinical situations.
• A genuine commitment to teamwork, contributing positively to a collaborative and growth-centered workplace.

• A minimum of three years of direct experience in mental health counseling or related fields, demonstrating a proven track record of effective client outcomes.
• Experience working within a community health setting, adapting to the unique challenges and opportunities it presents.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance efficiency in clinical documentation and communication.
